Buskowitz Installs 1 MegaWatt in San Carlos Pangasinan

Manila, Philippines, June 2018 — Buskowitz Energy is set to install more than 4,000 solar panels on San Carlos Town Center in Pangasinan, the equivalent of 1.1 Megawatt or 1,100 Kilowatt peak. The 20,000 square meter mall is the first and biggest commercial Solar PV System installation in the region with over 8,000 square meters of roof space for the panels alone. Set to start in the third week of June and slated to finish in mid-August, it is the first 1.1 Megawatt commercial rooftop project for the company.

“Buskowitz is looking forward to the completion of this project and the continued partnership with the Guico family,” says Jacque Buskowitz. “It is always fulfilling on both ends to work with like-minded companies, and we’re very happy to have this with San Carlos Town Center.”

In numbers, San Carlos Town Center going solar will have an immense impact on the environment. Yearly, it will save 1.3M pounds of coal from being burned; the equivalent of 138,428 gallons of gasoline. It will produce the same amount of electricity to power 184 homes for one year, saving the equivalent of 176 hectares of Philippine forests annually.

Mike Guico, owner of San Carlos Town Center shared his family’s thoughts on the project, “We’ve wanted to go solar for many of our companies for some time, but we didn’t want to do so until we found a company that is straightforward and easy to talk with, which is what we found with Buskowitz.”

Apart from San Carlos Town Center, the Guicos are involved with World Citi Colleges, World Citi Medical Center, WCC Aeronautical School, and the WCC Aviation Company, many of which plan to go solar within the next two years.
